The Bar Brisbane is excited to host The Sunday Session 6.
The past 5 years have been a massive success and we can't wait to do it all over again.

For the past five years we have created novice competitions which have had a welcoming and inviting environment for beginner strength athletes to compete in while creating a platform for advanced lifters to test themselves before moving to a federation level comp.
With ample parking and toilet facilitates The Bar Brisbane is the perfect setup to experience a first class competition without the pressure of a sanctioned meet.
1. This competition is open to novice competitors who haven't won any prior meets or competed at a national level in powerlifting.
(We welcome guest lifters who want to use our event to practice)
2. You must wear a T-shirt for squats and bench press, a singlet is fine for deadlifts. You don't have to wear a competition soft suit however overly baggy clothing isn't acceptable (Track suit pants etc). You need to either have full length tights or long socks (that reach the knee cap) for deadlifts.
3. Knee Sleeves, knee wraps, wrist wraps and belts are permitted no straps for deadlifts.
Other things to note are the "calls" for each lift and we put a big focus on depth of squat, keeping your glutes on the bench and not lapping or hitching deadlifts.
A full break down of rules and exceptions will be sent out prior to the meet.
